Glorious Pattern Photography! - Pom Pom Quarterly Issue 27
Remember when I gushed about Thea Colman’s glorious pattern photography for her Fernet Branca sweater? Well, something on Ravelry stopped me dead in my tracks the other day again, and I just had to share it with you:
Pom Pom Quarterly’s pattern photography for Issue 27 (their current Winter issue) is SO stunning that I kind of want to print a few of them and hang them on my wall.
WHAT A STUNNING COVER. And not just because the photography is brilliant, but also how the colors play off the flowers and the graphic design - especially those little art nouveau style lines - work together?
And then it just gets better and better:
What’s so great about this? Well, you know I’m a sucker for dark backgrounds (yes, we did the same for JEWELS), and I love how they used the flowers to set off the glorious colors and texture of this issue against said dark background. It gives the entire shoot a super sumptuous feel, and manages to combine the moody with the fresh.
Sooooo good. More of this, please!
